BROMPTON ROAD

The story of our Brompton Road project began in Italy, in a father’s furniture workshop, where a young boy developed a deep respect for craftsmanship, proportion and detail. That early exposure to design shaped a clear vision for this home: refined and luxurious, yet always thoughtful and mindful of budget.

Introduced in April 2024, we were tasked with reimagining a beautiful London mansion block apartment with ceilings soaring nearly four metres high, soon to become home to a young family. While generous in volume, the existing two-bedroom layout required thoughtful reconfiguration.

Working collaboratively, we transformed the apartment into three bedrooms and relocated the kitchen into the open-plan reception room, creating a more natural heart to the home. In partnership with Rebecca of Studio Pike, we developed a carefully considered material palette and bespoke joinery – including a kitchen manufactured in Italy – designed to read as finely crafted furniture, with appliances seamlessly concealed.

Following a sensitive planning process, the project went out to tender in December 2024. PJS Builds delivered the works with precision, completing the refurbishment a week ahead of schedule.
